The Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association organizes activities in Debate, Individual Events, Theatre, and Original Content. Debate involves an individual or a team of debaters working to convince a judge that his or her side of a resolution is more valid. MIFA sponsors different types of debate: Public Forum, Legislative, and Policy. Learn more! Individual Events highlights a variety of twelve public address and interpretation events. The events range from the performance of literature from various genres to the presentation of original speeches on academic subjects. Learn more! MIFA Theatre consists of a festival where schools participate in a tri-level theatre series that highlights traveling shows of published or unpublished one-act plays, cuttings from longer plays, or original one-act plays that are 45 minutes long.
