Election Process:
As a member of the Forensic Council you will be expected to: > Be a point of contact for questions and concerns from coaches/directors > Represent the interests and concerns of all schools you represent (eg. Event Committee Chair, MIFA At-large, Class A, Class BCD or North of 69) > Attend and participate in Council meetings (typically 6 per year, half of which are in person/half online) > Work with Committee members and MIFA staff to revise rules and improve processes for events > Serve in tournament/festival administration roles as requested |
MIFA Event Committees
MIFA By-Laws, Article VII, explains the composition, selection process, and purpose of the MIFA Committees. Composition of Committees: All four committees (Individual Events, Debate, Middle Level, and Theatre) consist of nine individuals that represent their geographical region. As a Region Committee representative you will be expected to: > Be a point of contact for questions and concerns from coaches/directors in your Region > Represent the interests and concerns of all schools in your Region at Committee meetings > Attend and participate in Committee meetings (typically 6 per year, half of which are in person/half online) > Work with Committee members, Forensic Council and MIFA staff to revise rules and improve processes for events > Serve in tournament/festival administration roles as requested |
