This is the event where MIFA encourages students to write and present their own original material. There are categories for Prose and Poetry but a student doesn't have to choose. For this event, we permit double entry. The calendar says for 2011 it will be held at Dexter High School on December 3. Three rounds of preliminary competition in each event followed by a semi-final and a final. Details in the OIDev11 and OI Speech Activities documents attached below. NOTE: This is the only event where MIFA permits middle level students and high school students to compete against each other. This event is truly open to all. And as a special incentive this year, a middle school may register with its target high school as part of the same team.
