Login Instructions

Member Log-In (Member’s Only Area)

            Still the best tool for a coach! Log in from any page (right side of page). Follow these three simple steps to access your account with MIFA:

1. Try logging in with your previous username and password combination first.
2. If that doesn’t work, click on CREATE NEW ACCOUNT. Go through the steps to create a new account using your previous username (if you know it).
3.  If you see “The name _______ is already taken.” in a red box at the top, go back and click on REQUEST NEW PASSWORD. You will receive an email containing a link, which you must click on and follow in order to reset your password. Once you have done this you should be able to log onto your account. The link is time sensitive so you need to complete this step in a timely manner or you will need to repeat it.
4. If you are a new coach, or new to the Member’s Only area you will need to set up your account. To do this follow the prompts after clicking CREATE NEW ACCOUNT.
5. Once you are logged in to the Member’s Only area, you should see a small box titled “NAVIGATION” in the center of your screen.

My Unread - Allows you to see posts made by members of a group to which you belong. Groups have to be set up to include specific members. Clicking on “RECENT POSTS” brings up a list of ALL recent posts. This is an very useful resource.

My Account - Allows you to view a basic overview of your account (VIEW), change your password information (EDIT),  view any files that you have downloaded (FILES),  view your order history and status from the MIFA store (ORDERS),  and use the file browser to navigate the website (recommended only for those who feel comfortable!).

Create Content- Allows you to either CREATE CONTENT, create a GROUP, or create a FORUM TOPIC.

Log Out- Remember to protect yourself by completing the logout before you go to another website.

ABOUT US

            Here you will find historical documents and data: old tournament results, old documents and the like. Also current corporate documents and a list of Forensic Council members with contacts.

Blog

            By clicking on the tab entitled “BLOG” you can stay informed about things going on in the MIFA office. The Executive Director often posts information regarding events to this page as well.

Catalogue

            Clicking here will take you to the MIFA Store!

Event Tabs

            You should notice that there are individual tabs for each major event (Policy Debate, Legislative Debate, Individual Events,  Theater and Middle Level). Under each tab you will find information relevant to that specific event.

Resources

            Clicking here takes you to the current Regional map, resources available to everyone, such as practice questions, a copy of Speech Activities, and help on how to build your program!

Calendar

If you want to check the calendar, go to the Home page, look for the Upcoming Events box on the top right. Click on the View Calnedar link on the bottom of that box. Navigate through the calendar by way of the arrows on the top corners.
